7.8 Coordination with Child Protection Authorities

Many child witnesses are also children at risk. Police must notify the Child Protection Unit/ Sindh Child Protection Authority (SCPA) when:

• The child appears frightened or traumatised
• The home environment is unsafe
• The child requires counselling or safe placement
• exploitation or abuse is suspected
