Learning Outcomes

By the end of this chapter, police officers should be able to:

1. Explain Pakistan’s international commitments on child rights and protection, and understand how these guide police practice;

2. Identify the key national constitutional and criminal laws relating to children, and understand their implications for police work; and

3. Understand the main provincial legal framework for child protection and juvenile justice in Sindh, including how it shapes police responsibilities within the province.
