Social Welfare Department
Provision of welfare services, shelters, rehabilitation and social support for children in need of care and protection
School Education & Literacy Department (SELD)
Management of formal education and oversight of non-formal and alternative education initiatives for enrolment, retention and reintegration of out-of-school children
Health Department
Provision of medical care, medico-legal examinations, mental health and trauma services for child victims
Labour & Human Resources Department
Enforcement of child labour and bonded labour laws; regulation of workplaces and protection of working children
Women Development Department
Development and coordination of gender-responsive policies affecting women and girl children
Human Rights Department
Policy oversight and monitoring of human rights violations, including violations of child rights
Local Government Department
Oversight of birth registration and community-level civic services through local councils
Probation & Parole Department
Supervision, social investigation and rehabilitation of children in conflict with the law, in coordination with Juvenile Courts under the JJSA 2018
Planning & Development Department (P&DD)
Planning, approval and coordination of development programmes and projects affecting children

Allocation, release and oversight of financial resources for child-related programmes and services
