Module 3.2Legislative Powers and Law Making Authorities
Law-making is the process through which the State establishes the legal rights, duties and protections that govern society. It provides the binding authority for how children are protected, how offences are addressed, and how institutions, including the police must act. In Pakistan, law-making powers are shared between the federal and provincial levels, with each responsible for legislation within its constitutional mandate.
